THE FIRST BEAR HAS BEEN SPOTTED IN THE TOWN OF BINGHAMTON!

I am pleased to announce that the first “TOB Bear Spotter of the Year” is our very own Town Clerk, Tracy Tokos!  Tracy sent us a picture of a very large, lumbering Ursus Americanus that was scoping out her back yard on March 14th.  (View full image here.)  Congratulations, Tracy!  The “Tokos-Ingraham” bear is now the first to be featured on the wall and map in the Clerk’s office.

For those wishing to share pictures or reports of bear sightings, please let Paula Edwards (Deputy Clerk) know.  Drop the pictures off at the Town Hall, or call her extension at the office (607) 772-0357, ext. 023 to leave a report with location and date.  You can also send your pictures via email to Paula at:  deputyclerk@townofbinghamton.com

Have a great bear-spotting spring!
