DEADLINE FOR SENIORS GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP IS MON., 1/7/25

6he holidays can be a tough time, especially if you have lost someone you love – a spouse, parent, child, sibling, or best friend.  The Town of Binghamton Senior Activities Commission is forming a Grief Support Group – confidential & supportive – to learn about the grief and healing process with other participants in similar situations, facilitated by a Qualified Facilitator with 10+ years’ experience who usually leads groups at the Vestal United Methodist Church.  She has kindly agreed to conduct our group at the Town facility for ten weeks on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., meeting January 8, 15, 22, 29; February 5, 12, 19, 26 & March 5 and 12.

Note: Lisa, who has been through the process herself with this Facilitator, will be present at the first meeting to introduce her, but will then leave and will not be privy to your interactions, which will be private. The Group process is nondenominational.

IMPORTANT:
Sign up of at least four people by January 6th is required or the Group will be cancelled.  Sign up by leaving your name & phone number mentioning “Grief Group” on the Senior Activities line at 607 772-0357, x301 or by dropping a note in the Seniors Activities box in the Town Hall lobby with the same information. There is a maximum of 8 people: any overflow will be held on a waiting list.
