TOWN SUPERVISOR RESPONDS TO THE “NYS CLIMATE ACTION COUNCIL DRAFT SCOPING PLAN”

The “New York State Climate Action Council Draft Scoping Plan”, released on December 30, 2021, by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) provides several scenarios to help New York meet its ambitious climate directives as part of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act).  The Climate Action Council is working to meet the Climate Act goals and make recommendations to the Governor and Legislature by the end of the year as part of the Final Scoping Plan.

New Yorkers were encouraged to review and comment on the Draft Scoping Plan by July 1, 2022.  We thought Town of Binghamton residents would be interested to see Supervisor Elizabeth Rounds’ response to the “Scoping Plan.”  Please click here to read her response.
