*The Town does not do electrical inspections. Electrical inspections are conducted by a third party NYS Certified Electrical Inspector.
NOTE: The Town of Binghamton does all inspections for heating, plumbing, HVAC, footers, foundations, drainage, framing, and insulation. The Town does not require a licensed electrician, plumber, or HVAC technician to do work in the Town of Binghamton.
To Build A House, You’ll Need:

Broome County Health Dept. Sewage Approval
If the home is being built in a municipal water/sewer district, you will also incur the following fees (in addition to the cost of the meter):

Water Connection Fee – $450 (if user is inside the district)

Water Connection Fee – $1,000 (if user is outside the district)
-
Sewer Connection Fee – $250 (if user is inside the district)
-
Sewer Connection Fee – $1,500 (if user is outside the district)
